People are good

I stopped in for breakfast at Emma Jean’s. As I walked in, the chef, Brian was talking about people riding bicycles on Route 66. I mentioned that I was walking Route 66 to Oklahoma then to Virginia. A couple of the customers started asking questions about the trip. I ordered ham and eggs. Brian took care of me. As I went up to pay, the waitress said my bill was covered by one of the customers. I tanked her and she had the best reply, “That’s how we do things up here”. The day is great. Best ham and eggs I ever had.
